Cilo raced against all of the top Italian bike makers in the world's biggest bike races and has the world champion rings on the frame.

The frame is made with the butted Reynolds tubing that people have in mind when they say no other bikes ride like steel. It is all of the lightness, compliance and snappy nature you expect of a bike made of Reynolds or Columbus SL tubing. All components are the top of the line Shimano Dura Ace including the headset, the hubs derailleurs, shifters, brakes and even pedals. The handlebars and stem are Italian 3T; equivalent to Cinelli.

The bike is purple with white accents in the cutout lugs and bar tape and Turbo saddle. The seat tube measures 56cm center to center as does the top tube.

The fork is chrome and original to the bike with the Cilo labels. The bike is nearly immaculate and never dumped or mistreated. Posted July 14, Steve Nutt's new bike shed is bigger than most suburban house blocks and houses his collection of more than vintage bicycles. The year-old Gold Coast resident believes he has accumulated the largest collection of its kind in Australia. His passion for pushbikes started as a year-old while attending Bondi High School, in Sydney's eastern suburbs. He and his mates began racing and his love of the sport quickly grew into a lifelong love of steel-framed bikes. Mr Nutt spends up to 10 hours a week in his shed restoring and maintaining his collection, which is 70 per cent Australian made.

The cycling enthusiast rides three time a week with a group who prefer the heavier steel-framed bicycles instead of the modern carbon-fibre constructed models. Vintage cycling is making a resurgence with classic bike shows, swap meets and tours being organised around Australia. Mr Nutt said he was often fielding calls from other enthusiasts seeking his advice and expertise in the field.

The property developer said his wife Romy had grown to accept that vintage bikes were his second great love. Topics: lifestyle , lifestyle-and-leisure , men , community-and-society , nerang , bondi , australia.
