List of Open & Closed Restaurants at Disney World

This list of the open & closed restaurants at Walt Disney World in 2021 covers what’s operating in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and the resort hotels. We update this regularly, with info on what’s coming soon, operating daily, and more. (Updated June 28, 2021.)

The good news is that as of Summer 2021, the vast majority of noteworthy dining options at Walt Disney World have reopened, with more coming back in the next month. The bad news is that several Signature Restaurants remain closed, particularly in the Deluxe Resorts and in Epcot’s World Showcase.

An even bigger issue–and one you won’t see reflected in these lists–is that restaurants are still operating at a dramatically reduced capacity, with many tables still unavailable even after physical distancing has been dropped. Consequently, Advance Dining Reservations have become even more competitive than pre-closure, with some ADRs so elusive that you won’t have much luck scoring them unless you book bright and early 60 days beforehand…

It’s also worth noting that despite many restaurants returning, the vast majority do not have full menus. Most serve about half of the options they offered pre-closure, and it’s often the more ambitious and labor or ingredient intensive items that have been removed.

In other words, if you want standard theme park fare like burgers or pizza, you’re fine. The more interesting stuff–along with many unique snacks–remain temporarily unavailable. Check individual restaurant pages on DisneyWorld.com for exact menus and operating schedules.

With that out of the way, let’s start with the latest updates for June and July 2021…

Newly Reopened

  • BroadWalk To Go – BoardWalk Inn
  • Eight Spoon Cafe – Animal Kingdom
  • Sebastian’s Bistro – Caribbean Beach Resort
  • The Mara – Animal Kingdom Lodge
  • Maya Grill – Coronado Springs Resort
  • Tusker House – Animal Kingdom

Coming Soon

  • Casey’s Corner – Magic Kingdom – June 29 (rumored)
  • ‘Ohana – Polynesian Village Resort – July 9 (confirmed)
  • Plaza Ice Cream Parlor – Early July 2021 (rumored)
  • Top of the World Lounge – Contemporary Resort – July 1 (rumored)

Magic Kingdom Open Restaurants List

  • Adventureland Spring Roll Cart
  • Aloha Isle
  • Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
  • Be Our Guest Restaurant
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
  • Crystal Palace
  • Gaston’s Tavern
  • Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
  • Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen
  • Liberty Square Market
  • Liberty Tree Tavern
  • Lunching Pad
  • Main Street Bakery
  • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
  • Pinocchio Village Haus
  • The Plaza Restaurant
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Storybook Treats
  • Sunshine Tree Terrace
  • Tomorrowland Terrace
  • Tony’s Town Square Restaurant
  • Westward Ho

Note that even though Be Our Guest Restaurant has returned, it’s using an ‘all-day’ table service menu previously reserved for dinner. That means breakfast is discontinued, as is the counter service lunch.

This 3-course dining experience is $62 for adults (ages 10 and up) and $37 for children (ages 3 to 9). Tax and gratuity are not included. You can read more about this experience in our Be Our Guest Restaurant Prix Fixe Dinner Review.

Magic Kingdom Closed Restaurants List

  • Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn
  • Casey’s Corner
  • Cheshire Cafe
  • Columbia Harbour House
  • Cool Ship
  • Diamond Horseshoe
  • Golden Oak Outpost
  • Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
  • Prince Eric’s Village Market
  • Tortuga Tavern

Several of these–Aunt Polly’s, Tomorrowland Terrace, and Tortuga Tavern–are seasonal anyway, so not big losses. Many other restaurants are snack stands that are pretty far from iconic. So, as with the other lists, this looks worse than it is.

The bigger blow for us is Columbia Harbour House. This is one of our Magic Kingdom counter service go-to restaurants, and the upper level seating area is a great spot to decompress. Without this and Be Our Guest Restaurant lunch, the counter service scene at Magic Kingdom is stereotypical theme park food.

Animal Kingdom Open Restaurants List

  • Anandapur Ice Cream Truck
  • Creature Comforts
  • Dawa Bar
  • Dino-Bite Snacks
  • Eight Spoon Cafe
  • Flame Tree Barbecue
  • Harambe Fruit Market
  • Harambe Market
  • Isle of Java
  • Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
  • Mahindi
  • Mr. Kamal’s
  • Nomad Lounge
  • Pongu Pongu
  • Rainforest Cafe
  • Restaurantosaurus
  • Satu’li Canteen
  • Tamu Tamu Refreshments
  • Terra Treats
  • Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks
  • Tiffins Restaurant
  • Trilo-Bites
  • Tusker House Restaurant
  • Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes
  • Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Not much commentary to offer here, as most of Animal Kingdom’s most popular dining options are returning. Animal Kingdom is probably the park most unscathed on the reopening dining front.

Animal Kingdom NOT Open List:

  • Caravan Road
  • Dino Diner
  • Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery
  • Pizzafari
  • Smiling Crocodile
  • Warung Outpost

No big losses here. Arguably Pizzafari for picky eaters, but Flame Tree BBQ is better for that, and Restaurantosaurus also exists.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Open List

  • 50’s Prime Time Café
  • ABC Commissary
  • Anaheim Produce
  • Backlot Express
  • BaseLine Tap House
  • Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

  • The Hollywood Brown Derby
  • The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge
  • Hollywood Scoops (Seasonal)
  • Hollywood & Vine
  • Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company
  • KRNR Rock Station Food Truck

  • PizzeRizzo
  • Ronto Roasters
  • Rosie’s All-American Café
  • Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant
  • Sunshine Day Bar
  • The Trolley Car Café
  • Woody’s Lunch Box

It’s a similar story at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Almost every single noteworthy restaurant has now returned as of Summer 2021. Most have scaled back menus or show elements (in the case of 50’s Prime Time Cafe), but everything “important” is available.

Hollywood Studios Closed Restaurants List

  • Catalina Eddie’s
  • Dockside Diner
  • Kat Saka’s Kettle
  • Municiberg Neighborhood Bakery
  • Tune-In Lounge

Tune-In Lounge is the most noteworthy omission here, but 50’s Prime Time Cafe is open, as are all other bars (and there are plenty of them) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

EPCOT Open Restaurants List

  • Biergarten Restaurant
  • Block & Hans Fine American Ale
  • Choza de Margarita
  • Cool Wash

EPCOT NOT Open List:

  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
  • Monsieur Paul
  • Nine Dragons Restaurant
  • Restaurant Marrakesh
  • Takumi-Tei
  • Tangierine Café
  • Tokyo Dining

When Walt Disney World first reopened, EPCOT was the park hit hardest on the dining front. That was due to it being the least busy park over the summer, having the most restaurants to begin with, and many not being operated by Disney.

The good news is that many restaurants have already returned at EPCOT–more than all of the other Walt Disney World parks combined. The bad news is that some of the park’s culinary all stars–like Takumi Tei and Monsieur Paul–still have not announced reopening dates.

There are a couple of explanations for the ongoing closures. First, without Cultural Representatives, World Showcase’s restaurants are short-staffed. Even though non-International Program Cast Members are being allowed to work in World Showcase temporarily, that’s obviously not as simple as flipping a switch.

Second, most of these restaurants are operated by third parties, some of which have been hit hard in the last few months. The group that operates the restaurants in Morocco is a prime example, which relinquished control of the pavilion to Disney last year.

Then there’s Patina, which is the group behind Space 220 Restaurant. It’s not listed above because it never opened, and you should expect it to retain that non-operational status for at least a few months. The good news is that Space 220 is now hiring and should be open by October 1, 2021!

Now let’s turn to resorts. For these, it’s easier for us to simply list what’s still closed at the operational hotels, as most restaurants have reopened…

  • Boma – Flavors of Africa
  • Jiko – The Cooking Place
  • Victoria Falls Lounge

  • Funnel Cake Cart
  • Belle Vue Lounge

Grand Floridian Resort Closed Restaurants

  • 1900 Park Fare
  • Citricos Lounge
  • Citricos
  • Garden View Tea Room
  • Victoria & Albert’s
