A Sweet Fireworks View at Walt Disney World

Not long ago, I had the opportunity to test out the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party, a deliciously fun nighttime offering at Magic Kingdom Park. The party includes reserved-seat viewing at the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station for Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks, plus a self-serve dessert buffet that features a wide range of treats that are sure to suit any taste.

From the moment I arrived, the dessert party was much more than I had anticipated. After checking in with the hostess, I was ushered to a reserved table that was decorated with a placard displaying my name and colorful Mickey Mouse-shaped confetti. I took a seat and was instantly surprised by the great view – the Tomorrowland Terrace overlooks a large pond, then a grassy hillside that leads up to the Castle forecourt area, giving us partygoers an almost unobstructed view of Cinderella Castle and the surrounding sky.

After a welcome from the Cast Members, I was free to indulge in three buffet tables full of treats. Having a huge sweet tooth, I was happy to test out just about everything – for the sake of this blog post, of course.

I grabbed a plate and started with easily identifiable edibles first: chocolate-covered strawberries, crisped rice treats drizzled with chocolate, fresh fruit and chocolate-chip cookies. On my second visit, I plated myself some more exotic desserts, like mini banana crème tarts, raspberry tarts, chocolate cheesecake and chocolate peanut-butter tarts. Everything was delicious and I hadn’t seen a spread like that since my last voyage aboard the Disney Wonder.

By far one of the best parts of the experience was watching the fireworks from my reserved table. Just for tonight, I didn’t have to worry about showing up early to save a space for my family on Main Street, U.S.A. – instead I could kick back and enjoy the show in all its majesty from a distance. Not only that, but even picture-taking is taken care of for partygoers, as a PhotoPass photographer is on hand for families who wish to get a group shot or two with Cinderella Castle and fireworks in the background.

Reservations for the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463). Admission is $27.68 for Guests ages 10 and older, and $14.90 for Guests ages 9 and under. Park admission to Magic Kingdom Park is required. Food & Beverage offerings may vary.
